Modeling and Simulation of Conducted Emission for VLSI ICs

چکیده
Increasing demands on electromagnetic compatibility of electronic products especially the demands on reduced emissions of microelectronic components in combination with higher complexity of electrical circuits require development of new circuit conception techniques. Due to postulation of decreased design cycles, this can only be achieved by EMC-relevant simulations during the design phase. On the basis of the enormous complexity of digital ICs (millions of transistors on a single unit), it is essential to develop EMC/EMI models of single components, modules as well as of whole CMOSVLSI-ICs (ASICs, microcontrollers, DSPs, etc.). This article presents a modeling methodology based on a bottom-up approach which allows EMC and emission analyses of whole VLSI-ICs during the design phase.

The combustion processes and emission formation in pre and main chambers of a Lister 8.1 IDI diesel are simulated with the Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) code. The model includes spray atomization, mixture formation and distribution and subsequently the combustion processes and emissions formation modeling are carried out with considering of flow configurations in two chambers. A part load ...
متن کاملThree-Dimensional Electro-Thermal Modeling of Thin Film Micro- Refrigerators for Site-Specific Cooling of VLSI ICs
Non-uniform high temperature distribution has become a primary concern in view of VLSI performance and reliability. This problem becomes much severer in the nanometer-scale technologies as the required operating frequency moves into the multi-giga Hertz range. Effective handling of “hot spots” is an important issue. Recently, a cooling technology based on heterostructure integrated thermionic (...
متن کاملSimulation of Smoke Emission from Fires in High-Rise Buildings Using the 3D Model Generated from 2-Dimensional Cadastral Data
Having a 3-Dimensional model of high-rise buildings can be used in disaster management such as fire cases to reduce casualties. The fundamental dilemma in 3D building modeling is the unavailability of suitable data sources. However, available cadastral 2D maps could be used as low-cost and attainable resources for 3D building modeling. Smoke will be a great threat to people's health during a f...
متن کاملSpice Compatible Model for Multiple Coupled Nonuniform Transmission Lines Application in Transient Analysis of VLSI Circuits
An SPICE compatible model for multiple coupled nonuniform lossless transmission lines (TL's) is presented. The method of the modeling is based on the steplines approximation of the nonuniform TLs and quasi-TEM assumptions. Using steplines approximation the system of coupled nonuniform TLs is subdivided into arbitrary large number of coupled uniform lines (steplines) with different characteristi...
متن کاملNumerical Modeling and Simulation of Highly Preheated and Diluted Air Combustion Furnaces
This paper presents some of the results of the modeling and simulation of an industrial furnace under the conventional combustion as well as under the highly preheated and diluted air combustion (HPDAC) conditions. The results are obtained using a computer program written by authors in FORTRAN language. It was found that, the HPDAC offers a more uniform and relatively moderate gas temperature p...
